GETTING STARTED:

All customers will need to download the NEW APP. Visit the Google Play Store for Android products or the Apple App Store for iOS devices to download the app.
IMPORTANT:
To access the eBook App you use your My Bookshelf login details.
This is a personalised separate account that allows you to download and save titles, notes, highlighting and bookmarks.
Your current My Bookshelf account details DO NOT need to be updated.
For new eBook subscribers, you may use your My Research Username and Password.

INTRODUCTION

The World Book eBook collection includes highly illustrated, engaging titles that support a span of curriculum areas and reading levels. A subscription includes automatic updates and revisions to eBooks, as well as any new titles that are added to the site.

Subscribers receive unlimited simultaneous access to all of the books in the collection as well as unlimited downloads to any tablet or mobile device via the free World Book eBooks app. Each reader can customise his or her reading experience with notes, highlights, drawings, and bookmarks that are automatically saved when a user logs in to their personal eBooks account.

HOME PAGE

The home page of World Book eBooks features a scrollable list of all of the books in your collection organised by subject.
1. Use the search box at the top of the page to search the eBooks collection by author, title, or ISBN.
2. Browse the list of titles by scrolling to see all of the subjects. The number of books that belong to a subject is listed in parenthesis next to the category name.
3. Choose the left and right arrows to see all of the books categorised within each subject.
4. Users may browse eBooks by subject via the menu on the top left-hand side of the screen.
5. Choose the Library subject to go to the homepage and view all of the books in your collection.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

To take full advantage of all World Book eBooks has to offer, users are strongly encouraged to log into their personal eBooks account. Once they do so, their bookmarks, highlights, drawings, and notes will automatically save to their books.
Subscribers may use their My Research account to log in to World Book eBooks, or they may set up a new account by choosing the Profile button at the top right-hand side of the page.

TITLE PAGE

The title page displays the author, title, and description of each book.
1. To view an eBook using a browser on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device, select the Open button to launch the online viewer.
2. Choose the "X" on the right-hand side of the screen to close the title page and go back to the books on the bookshelf.

ONLINE VIEWER
The online viewer offers multiple ways to navigate, satisfying the needs of both young students who require simple, highly visible navigational tools, and older students with more advanced navigational needs.
The toolbar at the top right-hand side of the viewer offers several navigational options and features:
1. Highlight text, post notes or draw in the books (digitally, of course!) by choosing the corresponding icon.
2. The My Data button allows users to keep track of any notes and highlights that are made.
3. Use to zoom in and out and to fit page on screen.
4. Use the search box to search the full text of an ebook.
5. Add bookmarks by selecting the + bookmark outline on the top right corner of any page.
6. Users may advance the pages in a book by using the arrow keys on either side of the screen.
7. The Page Tab button at the bottom of the screen allows users to jump to a specific page in the book by entering the page number and choosing the arrow, and the Page View button allows users to view the book in single-page or double-page view.

How to download eBook App:

Visit the Google Play Store for Android products or the Apple App Store for iOS devices to download the app:

3. When complete, the app can be launched from your home screen.

5. Begin downloading great books and enjoy reading.

Download and view books:
1. Launch the World Book eBooks app.
2. Log on with your personal eBooks account and scroll to see all ebooks available.
3. Choose the menu at the top left-hand side of your screen to filter by category or see titles you’ve previously downloaded.
4. To download a title, tap on the download icon in the centre of the book.
5. All Titles you have downloaded will be in the “Show Downloaded” section.

Subscribers using a tablet or mobile device may download the World Book eBooks app to download and read eBooks offline.
To access books on the app, you must first log in using your personal World Book eBooks username and password. You may use your My Research username and password, or you may create a new username and password from any product in your World Book Online subscription.

1. Books on the app are organised by subject.
2. Tap on the download button on the cover of any eBook to download the book to your device.
3. Tap to view all titles, titles via subject or view downloaded titles.
4. To view all of the books that you downloaded, choose the Show Downloaded button on the top of the drop-down menu.
5. To remove a downloaded book from your device, choose "more info" and then tap on the "Delete" button.

*We recommend you download the app and eBooks via Wi-Fi. Downloading via a mobile network, such as 3G or LTE, may incur excessive charges.

A: The World Book eBooks app is now optimized for smartphones! Users can download the app for free through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Please see the following list of optimized smartphone devices and operating systems:
